Problem solving
I follow the sage advice contained in a text which with every reading reveals new layers of nuance and meaning, new depths which I have barely plumbed. The book is called “Mr. Happy finds a hobby”, by that master Roger Hargreaves. The relevant page reads
It was whilst drinking a cup of tea the next morning that Mr Happy had an idea.
A perfectly obvious idea.
He rushed round to Mr Grumble’s house.
I won’t spoil the denouement, but in these short lines, and the graphic to follow, is captured my entire approach to life.

Note how well-thumbed this page is, testament to my frequent consultation. As a caveat, I should mention that I would normally deplore the unnatural haste with which our hero is rushing to see Mr Grumble, but exceptional circumstances call for exceptional measures.

This is a terrifying image. Shouldn’t there be some warning label so those of us with a nervous disposition will have a chance to steel ourselves against such horror.
The saving grace of course is that he was drinking tea.
I do apologise, and certainly do not endorse such behaviour: don’t try this at home, kids.
I think a key point is that Mr Happy is normally a very Slow type of person, and in this rare instance he is rushing not out of some acquisitive and unhealthy habit, but to selflessly help a friend.
